RealPro CPL filter is used to reduce unwanted reflections from a non-metallic surface such as water or glass and increase saturation and contrast of the sky and objects. For example, you can enhance the saturation of the sky in order to stress the presence of white clouds even if the atmosphere is hazy.

Black Rimmed Glass
To reduce the internal light reflections off the edge of the filter glass Kenko uses the technology of black rimming. The outer rim of the glass plate is treated with a specific black ink prevent any leaking of the light.
