PhotoLive Expo is Perth’s largest Photographic Expo, organized by the local family business Camera Electronic. This one-day event, hosted by Howard Frank and Saul Frank, transforms the Novotel in Perth into a hub of photographic excellence. This year it will happen on 21 of July 2024.
The expo features a massive area where leading manufacturers showcase their top-of-the-line gear, allowing attendees to get hands-on and explore the latest products. When I say manufactures, all of them are here. Canon and their reps, Nikon and their reps, Panasonic and their reps, Sony and their reps, Hobolite and their reps, Nanlite and their reps, Profoto, Tamron, Sigma... You name it! It's one day every year where the entire Photographic community in Australia, gather together here in Western Australia.
Right in the middle of this amazing area with all our beloved brands and new products to touch and try, we also have a pop up studio. Which can be used at any time of the day, by anyone that wishes to try something different, or test one of the product out, or simply have some fun directing some portraits. The expo area and the pop up studio are free for the public. We do ask, if you can, to donate one gold coin to Telethon by the entrance, but it's completely up to you.
Alongside the expo, there are engaging 30-minute talks on a wide range of photography subjects, delivered by professional photographers from Perth and the eastern states.
Additionally, five workshops, each spanning two hours, offer participants a unique opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and gain valuable insights.

And that’s not all! The expo area is completely free to enter. It’s the perfect place to network and meet like-minded creatives. I guarantee it will be lots of fun!
