If you are inclined to sit your guests down in front of a screen to show them pictures of yourself...( And haven't we all been there and done that - must have you round to show you the 35mm slides we took in Fiji in 1967...all 500 of them )...well we have just the things for you.
The dear old slide projector is put away, but we have wide screen television and the Go Pro action camera instead. And to aid with featuring ourselves as stars of the show we now have GoPoles and SP Remote Poles.
They are extendable handles with the distinctive GoPro mounting on one end in various lengths. I count a 14-42" extendable for land use and a 14-24" floater for marine shooting. There is also a 14-39" version with the remote controller for the GoPro built at the handle end.
The illustrations on the packages show the users holding them as they water-ski, snowboard, and surf. One picture shows a man in a grizzly bear suit sky-diving out of a hot air ballon while taking a video selfie. Honest, folks, I am not making this stuff up - it is early in the morning and I am cold sober.
Well, you might not have a grizzly bear suit to hand readily, but whatever you want to do, at least you can be on one end of this pole and people will see you in action. The honest ones of you out there will use it to record long hours of mowing the back lawn, doing the gutters, and watching re-runs of The Block. Or lying on a gurney in Fremantle hospital waiting for an orthopaedic consultant to see what you did to yourself at the skateboard park.
Note: all three of these selfie poles are well made with rounded ends - you are unlikely to spear yourself in the chest too badly when you fall on them.
