Best Way to Keep Your Gear Clean - Photography Gear

“ You Guys Still Sell Those? How Come? “

Yes we do, and for a number of good reasons…

  1. Lenses get dirty.

People take them to places that are not only filthy, but intrusive. Dust. Rain. Industrial fumes.

Accidents. Wet dog noses. Greasy toddler’s fingers.

Or the Gadget Bag That Has Never Been Cleaned.

You need not seek dirt - it will find you.

  1. Lenses are delicate.

Those are nano-coatings. They hope to be tough, but most are fragile. You cannot clean them with steel wool.

  1. Lens Cleanse will get rid of anything without harming the lens.

We watched Ernest Cesar teach us how a professional technician cleans a lens and the lesson stuck. These kits will do what he taught us every time, and we can tackle the business with confidence.

Do what it says on the packet, and the product will do what it says on the packet. I keep a set ready in the studio, in the stills bag, and in the video roller. I am careful with the front surfaces of my lenses, but when they need it, they get the Lens Cleanse.

“ Will it clean my sensor? “

No, it will not, and don’t you dare try it. Get a professional clean.
